Hey everybody, this is my first blog hop, so I hope it is a good one. I am pledging $30, plus $1 for each comment on my blog. Let me know what you think of our military men, and women. We are raising money for the Wounded Warrior Project, which is an organization I fully support because of the work they do.
Please remember, the other authors have pledged to donate also, so please visit their blogs, look around, and comment. :D

As an added bonus I will give away a copy of my book to my favorite comment. :D

After the plane landed, the stewardess came down the aisle asking all the women if they were Tara Mason.
“I’m Tara Mason.” Her hand trembled.
“Come with me, please.”
Tara de-planed before all the other passengers. Did the official manner of the
stewardess mean bad news? Tara’s brows knitted and her stomach became queasy as she followed the attractive woman down the stairs, through the gangway to a man in uniform.
One look at him made her feel faint with her heart beating out of her chest, her breath coming quickly.
“Miss Tara Mason?” She nodded, unable to speak.
“Come with me, please.”
In silence, she followed the young man to a waiting car. He opened the back door for her.
“Where are we going?” she choked out.
“To see Sergeant Peterson, I believe.”
“Mick? Where?”
“At LRMC.” He started the car.
“What’s that?”
“Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.” He shifted from park to drive.
At this news, Tara fainted in the back seat. The young man pulled over. He gently pulled her out of the car.
"Mick’s dead?”
“Wounded, ma’am.” The young man slung her arm over his shoulder as he walked
her around, trying to revive her.***IF YOU LIKE THE PREVIEW OF OUR BOOK, IT IS AVAILABLE AT THE FOLLOWING SITES:

HOOAH
ReplyDeleteThank you for participating in the Wounded Warrior Blog Hop! Our wounded heroes deserve our respect and support. My husband and I are also veterans, and when we go out, he wears his Desert Storm ball cap. It always warms my heart when someone stops to thank him for his service.
ReplyDeleteThank you havens. I appreciate it, and I appreciate both of your service also. Yes, our warriors do deserve all the support we can give them. You are also correct in the statement about it warming your heart when someone thanks him, or you. It also warms my heart, and at the same time I find myself embarassed as I am a humble and shy person.(Believe it or not) :D
DeleteBTW: I choose you for the free book, if you are interested, email me at TManStudio@comcast.net. If not, let me know and I will send it to my second favorite comment.
DeleteThank you for participating Ben and thank you for your service
ReplyDeleteThank you Tamara. I loved serving and would do it again tomorrow, if I could. I appreciate your comment too. +$1 :D
DeleteI hope you enjoy your first blog hop, Ben. It's always fun to see what people have to say. Huge thanks for your service and for participating here.
ReplyDeleteThank you Flossie. I am having fun. I am still trying to get more people to comment though, so I will keep promoting it. Two days left to go.
DeleteHi Ben,
ReplyDeleteYou picked the best hop for your first. This is my favorite because it is such a worthy cause. Thank you for your service.
Thank you JL, I think I had a hand, along with Jean Joachim, in talking everybody into doing the Wounded Warriors Blog Hop. It is a cause that I believe in too. I am a disabled vet myself, so I understand how they can be helpful.
DeleteYour book is on my TBR list, and I think this is a wonderful blog hop you've joined. Thanks for doing something so good for our warriors.
ReplyDeleteThank you Terri. When you read the book, let me know what you think, as this is my first foray into writing. :D
DeleteThank you for supporting a wonderful cause.Good luck, you've joined a awesome group.Thank you again.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Debbie. It is an organization I believe in, so I am happy to help support it.
DeleteThank you so much for supporting such a wonderful cause.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Karen. It is definitely an organization that I believe in, so I am happy to do it.
DeleteIt's a great cause. I'm glad you're participating. In my Library, we have mounted an exhibit called "The Things They Carried," to correspond with our community read of the book by that same name by author Tim O'Brien. The exhibit opens tomorrow, Veterans Day. Our student veterans have loaned us some great items to display! It looks awesome.

Thanks for doing this, Ben. I thoroughly enjoyed the book you co-wrote with Jean and hope to read more of your books. My father served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in San Francisco; my uncle served in the U.S. Army during WW 2 and saw action in the Pacific. My father-in-law tried to sign up at 16 during WW 2, but he got in a little later and fought in Europe. So, I remember them and the young people serving today. It's not an easy life. God bless and be safe.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cathy. I am glad you enjoyed our book. We are diligently working on book 2, and afterwards we will start book 3. Thank you for sharing about your families' service. I currently work 3 jobs(author being my third) and in my main one I work with a Korean war Marine. We have a good time chatting, although we don't talk much of our service, as most combat vets wont. Please keep in contact and let me know what you think of my stories.
DeleteGreat post. Don't you think you might be giving away a little too much of the story in the excerpt you selected??
ReplyDeleteGreat first blog hop post! Happy Veteran's Day!
